The job log
Every job gets a line
A neighborhood, a crew and what we did. The log is how you can tell who was in the house and what they left behind.
- Red Bank
A service mast, replaced
The old mast had pulled away from the house in a storm. We rebuilt the mast and the weatherhead and booked the power company to reconnect.
Crew: Aaron and Lashonda
Work: mast, weatherhead, meter base
- North Shore
Kitchen circuits for a remodel
The contractor opened the walls. We ran new circuits for the range and the counter outlets and left everything labeled at the panel.
Crew: Lashonda and Emmanuel
Work: four circuits, GFCI outlets
- Brainerd
A dead outlet that was not the outlet
Three outlets in the hall went dead. The cause was a loose connection in a box in the attic, not the outlets. We fixed the box.
Crew: Aaron and Emmanuel
Work: one repaired connection
- Hixson
Smoke alarms, wired together
A 1950s ranch with two battery alarms and none in the bedrooms. We wired alarms that sound together in each room the code names.
Crew: Lashonda and Emmanuel
Work: six hardwired alarms
- Lookout Mountain
Ceiling fans in a porch and a bedroom
A damp-rated fan on the porch and a fan with a light in the bedroom, each on its own switch.
Crew: Aaron and Emmanuel
Work: two fans, two switches
- Soddy-Daisy
A subpanel for a detached garage
A woodworker's shop with an extension cord for power. We ran a feeder to a new subpanel with room to grow.
Crew: Aaron and Lashonda
Work: feeder, subpanel, four circuits

A range line and a dryer line
A move from gas to electric. We ran two dedicated circuits from a panel that had the room.

Yard lights for a sloped lot
Path lights down a slope and a light by the steps, on one switch and a timer.
