Panels, circuits, lights and repairs for homes across Hamilton County. Every job in our log has a neighborhood, a crew and a plain list of the work.

The job log
Each card is one job: where it was, what we did and who was on it. We write the log after the work, not before.

The old panel had no room left and the meter base had rusted at the seams. We replaced the panel, the meter base and the mast, and booked the power company for the shutoff and reconnect.
Crew: Aaron and Lashonda
Work: panel, meter base and mast
Permit: pulled by us

Cloth-covered wire in the walls and two-prong outlets everywhere. We worked a room at a time so the family could keep living there, and left each plaster patch rough for their painter.
Crew: Aaron, Lashonda and Emmanuel
Work: new circuits, grounded outlets, smoke alarms
Left for you: drywall and paint

Four screw-in fuses and a stack of extension cords. The new breaker panel has labeled circuits and room to add more, and the old fuse box went home with the owner.
Crew: Aaron and Emmanuel
Work: breaker panel, labeled circuits
Why: the buyer's inspection flagged it

One socket was cracked and the other had stopped holding the meter. We replaced both bases and the cable to the panels, and texted the tenants about when the power would be off.
Crew: Lashonda and Emmanuel
Work: two meter bases and the cable to each panel
Utility: reconnect booked by us

A 240-volt line from the panel to the garage wall, sized to the capacity the panel had to spare. The owner chose and mounted the charger. We ran and tested the circuit.
Crew: Lashonda and Emmanuel
Work: one new 240-volt circuit
Not included: the charger

A bungalow porch with one dead light and no outlet outside. We added weatherproof outlets on a GFCI breaker, new lights on a switch and a damp-rated fan.
Crew: Aaron and Emmanuel
Work: porch lights, two outdoor outlets, one fan
Fixtures: picked by the owner
For families on the move
Moves and closings come with short clocks. Send us the inspection report. We read it, tell you which findings matter and which are notes, and give you a written estimate for the ones that do.
Texted photos of the panel and meter are fine.
We say what can wait until after the move.
We work around your closing date when we can, and say so when we can't.

What we do
Most calls are one of these. Tell us what you see and we will say which it is.
A new panel, a new meter base, more capacity for a heat pump, a charger or an addition.
Breakers that trip, outlets that went dead, lights that flicker, a smell you can't place.
Fixtures, ceiling fans, GFCI and USB outlets, porch and yard lights.
Hardwired alarms that talk to each other, in the rooms the code asks for.
Fuse boxes, cloth-covered wire, ungrounded outlets, one room or the whole house.
A dedicated line for a car charger, a range, a dryer or a heat pump.
Photos of the outside of the panel and the meter often tell us what the job is before we come. Send them to the number below and Laurie will reply in office hours.

Questions
For panels, new circuits and most rewiring, yes. We pull the permit and book the inspection, and the fee is its own line on your estimate. The city and the smaller towns around it have different rules, and we tell you which one applies to your address.
We tell you the visit fee when you book. If you go ahead with the work, the fee comes off the job. The pricing page explains what changes the number.

No. We answer Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and book Saturdays by appointment. For fire, call 911. If it is safe, turn off the breaker, and call us when we open.
Send us the report, or a photo of the page. We read it, tell you which findings matter and which are notes, and write an estimate for the ones that do.
Text them to (423) 555-0100. A photo of the outside of the panel and one of the meter is enough to start. Please don't open anything to take one.
